We are excited to be recruiting a Head of Business Support to lead transformational change in the way we work; enabling our teams to have more capacity to deliver our vision of a Wilder Derbyshire.

**Responsibilities**

In this role, you will lead our business support and programme office functions, coaching and leading individuals and teams across the organisation to develop business systems that support an agile and flexible organisation, continually evaluating and improvingthe way we work.

You will be central to developing our digital transformation strategy and establishing an effective programme office for long term success, through support and processes that are agile and user friendly, and ensuring our facilities are managed proactively.

**About you**

This role might be right for you if:

- You've previously been involved in systems and process improvement and development that help teams excel
- Your experienced in cross team / agile working; you will lean on your practical experience when coaching teams, managers and leaders
- You have supported and advised leadership teams before and feel comfortable talking to a diverse range of stakeholders with different interests, perspectives and personalities
- You’re self-aware, reflective and curious - you’re always looking for opportunities to do things better
- You are solution focused, adept at both identifying issues and solving them.
- You have good emotional intelligence, with great interpersonal and communication abilities
- You’re a strategic thinker with hands-on style (you’ll need to be comfortable keeping the ship running whilst building a team around you)
- You demonstrate drive, flexibility, tact and patience and thrive in an ever-evolving environment.

**We are happy to talk flexible working**

This role will be based at our office in Middleton although we operate hybrid working with a general guide of no more than 60% of the week to be worked from home. We are a local charity so applicants should be easily able to access our office and other locationsaround the county.

**Interviews are planned for 6th March 2023 at our Head Quarters in Middleton near Matlock.**

**Derbyshire Wildlife Trust** We’re a small charity, with big ideas We believe that everyone has their part to play in Nature’s recovery. We are the only organisation in Derbyshire working to protect and enhance wildlife and wild places throughout the county but through our work withbusinesses, other conservation charities, and the public we are mobilising others across the county and the rest of the UK to act for wildlife. As are a registered Charity, we are supported by 16,000 members and are part of a movement of 46 Trusts with a collectivemembership of over 800,000.

Our purpose is to achieve our vision of a Wilder Derbyshire by creating Nature Recovery Networks and reintroducing lost species. We aim to deliver our vision by leading Nature’s Recovery, inspiring people and communities to care and mobilising people toact. All our work is underpinned by our values.

Our Charity is growing, we currently employ 80 people and, crucially, we are supported by over 500 volunteers.We have three delivery teams; Wilder Landscapes, Wilder Communities and Income Generation, supported by the Finance and Resources team.Eachteam has a Department Lead who reports to the Chief Executive who is responsible for the operations of the Trust and who, in turn, reports to the Board of Trustees which governs the organisation.We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and believe that everyone should have access to nature.
