**Salary**:£22,500 - £27,500 dependant on experience. Monthly bonus scheme and pension is available on completion of the initial probationary period. Generous holiday entitlement and Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme.

**Contract**:This is a permanent full-time position Monday to Thursday 9:15am - 4:45pm and 9:15am - 4:00pm on Fridays.

TaxAssist Accountants are the largest network of accountants, currently working from over 300 locations throughout the UK, who focus their accountancy skills specifically on small businesses and taxpayers needing a tax return in the UK. They specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings and tax advice to small businesses. They have over 80,000 clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers. The Practice has been operating for 25 years and has established processes in place, along with access to excellent ongoing training & technical support in all aspects of the role, we have a heavy focus on technology using a number of apps and cloud-based systems.

**Responsibilities**
- First point of contact for new and existing clients when they enter the office.
- Scheduling client appointments.
- Completion of online registrations with HMRC and Companies House.
- Managing existing client database.
- Processing client information and allocation of tasks to other staff members.
- Answering incoming telephone calls.
- Monthly mail merges.
- Maintaining office supplies.
- Other clerical tasks as assigned.

Bookkeeping duties to include:

- Collating records from clients and checking the information is relevant and complete.
- Uploading sales invoices, receipts, and bank statements to accounting software.
- Coding and matching payments within QuickBooks and DEXT.
- Reconciliation of bank account and credit card accounts.

**Key Requirements**

To be considered for this role you will need:

- Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Approachable and comfortable with clients on the telephone and face to face.
- Ambitious, motivated, eager to develop within a team environment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Willing to display flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing working environment.
- Display personal commitment, effort, motivation, and initiative in all aspects of work.

Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £22,500.00-£27,500.00 per year
