Job summary

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for a wide array of new and innovative products. As an active member of the technical authoring team, you will liaise with colleagues globally.

Skills and experience required
- Educated to degree level in English; additional qualifications in computing related discipline desirable
- Two years plus in an authoring role within a software company
- Good knowledge of tools e.g. Adobe RoboHelp, MadCap Flare, Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Joomla with the ability to learn tools and products fast
- Excellent written English and communication skills; Other languages are a welcome advantage
- Ability to explain complex concepts in clear and concise English
- Good knowledge of audio, image and video capture and editing
- Attention to detail and accurate editing and proofreading skills
- Able to deal with changing requirements and tight timescales with a problem-solving attitude
- Self-motivated but also enjoys working as part of a team

Core responsibilities
- Ability to gather complex technical information from developers, existing documents and from the product itself to produce excellent written or video documentation
- Dealing with multiple tasks and projects
- Solving problems quickly and accurately
- Developing new ideas to improve our service and move our solutions forward
- Interacting with a team of experienced and motivated people, offering guidance and recommendations for technical decision making, collaborating with the test team to validate and verify the quality of the solutions, preparing status reports and updating managers
- Showing continuing commitment to a quality approach by keeping track of the latest technology and design concepts
