Fibre Network Design and Quality Assurance Lead

**Cornwall (Office-based, with 2 days WFH)**:

- **c£40,000 per year**:

**Skills and Experience**:

- Owning, executing, and delivering planning requirements within a geographic area
- Delivery of accurate and cost-effective standardised plans in line with my clients standards and specifications
- Flexible approach in dealing with amendments (including “as-built” updates) to planned information and design standards
- Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time
- Quality checking FTTP (Fibre to the Premise) network design elements produced by third party Design partners to meet the standards and specifications - in GIS systems including Digpro and QGIS plus different delivery types such as new build and PIA
- Ensuring all design elements (schematics, release sheets, fibre allocation sheets) are produced to a consistently high standard
- Network Planning and Design experience
- Network Build H&S awareness.
- Excellent demonstrable knowledge of health and safety requirements including risk assessments.
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of business, industry and customer needs, including technical demands and requirements of products / services.
- PC Literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

**The Opportunity**:
My client working within the telecoms sector are currently looking for a Fibre Design and Quality Assurance Lead. You must come from a planning background ideally within the utilities sector. In the role you will be helping with liaison of local authority agents and other third parties as part of overall planning and you must be proficient to highlight and escalate major design variances throughout their Planning & Design team. FTTP designs per area need to be produced in support of the build schedule - to the required network standards and specifications. Monthly design volumes need to be achieved to ensure there are no delays to the build schedule. Designs need to be cost effective and buildable, including consideration to build safety.
