**About Us**:
**Role Overview**:
Our service at **Camden Kaleidoscope** is a newly commissioned and innovative specialist supported accommodation service for young people with mental health and complex needs. The service is part of Camden Council’s Young People’s Pathway that collaborate intensively with CAMHS, the 16+ team, the YOS and other services working to support the young people.
As **Mental Health Support Worker (Waking Nights)**, you will work along young people to move towards independence and ensure that they are able to take control of decisions affecting their lives.
You will carry out a range of support, housing management and administration duties while managing a caseload of clients by supporting them to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times, including using safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
- Manage a small caseload of clients, you will take responsibility, alongside the team, for the wellbeing and day to day support of all clients in the services.
- Lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service.
- Proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of Depaul clients in accordance with data protection and information sharing protocols.
- Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations.
Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role **working on a 7 day a week rota**, including waking nights and bank holidays.. **Kindly see attached job description for more information about this job opportunity.**
**What We Are Looking For - Person Specification**:
- A relevant qualification, for example in psychology, counselling, social work, mental health, and/or significant experience of working with young people with complex needs.
- An understanding and commitment to working in an assets based way.
- Ability to work with children and young people whose behaviour is personally challenging.
- Experience working in partnership with multi agency teams, including social workers and mental health professionals.
