Ilford, United Kingdom GUARDIAN CARE SERVICES Full time

To support young people that are placed within Guardian Care, supporting them towards independence and to achieve specific objectives in line with their individual needs and abilities.
- A sound understanding of all policies and procedures relevant to a semi-independent
- To safeguard all service users from harm and promote their welfare.
- To work as part of the senior team, including management to ensure best practices and communication regarding the service is maintained.
- Be flexible in meeting the needs of the individuals and the service.
- Manage stressful and challenging situations calmly by leading by example to ensure situations are managed safely and staff and residents supported appropriately.
- Understand the need for accurate record keeping and will always follow policy and procedures, support plans, risk assessments and relevant
- Communicate/consult with relatives, partners, advocates, friends, careers, staffing members and agencies, as appropriate, regarding the resident’s health, social care, and well-being.
- Promote resident involvement in shaping and monitoring services, so they have real choice
- Always demonstrates a sensitive and supportive approach to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self-respect.
- Knowledge of welfare benefits.
- Good written and oral communication, numeracy, IT, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of organisations providing services to vulnerable people.
- Ability to cope with verbally challenging and volatile situations.
- Be able to cover shifts at short notice and be flexible in a demanding working environment.

Essential requirements
- 2+ years previous experience working with mental health, domestic violence, gang affiliation, CSE, substance misuse and Refugee status
- Experience with the age range of our client group 16-25 and provision.
- Proven track record in management of a supported housing team or similar role.

COVID-19 considerations: All Government Guidelines closely followed. Covid awareness course (in house training) PPE provided in house

In keeping with the Company ethos, our Support Workers are focused on quality and excellent service delivery.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 45 per week

Shift:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- providing care: 2 years (required)
- supervisory: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (required)
