**About our Opportunity**:
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Circular Economy and Sustainability Specialist to provide support in the roll out and delivery of Circular Economy initiatives to Glass Futures membership and to help our wider projects team in identifying industrial synergies related to sustainability.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Provide project support on initiatives surrounding circular economy, sustainability and waste management
- Horizon scanning new technologies, pilots and opportunities
- Participating in conferences and staying up to date on current and future legislation
- Devise, maintain and deliver regular and accurate technical reports
- Act as data and information owner regarding the circular economy and industrial symbiosis
- Build and maintain effective relationships across the UK waste supply chain
- Provide support to Glass Futures projects team to develop and implement Circular Economy best practices
- Support with preparing proposals and quotes and help close new deals, driving revenue for Glass Futures

**Person Specification**:

- Industrial experience and exposure within a Circular Economy or Sustainability capacity
- An understanding/awareness of statutory environmental compliance
- Sound knowledge of waste management process/compliance
- Passionate attitude towards environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholder management and members across various organisations
- Excellent analytical skills and the capacity to translate complex data/information
- Evaluation of technical and policy measures, cost benefit analysis, data collection and validation analysis

**Desirable Skills/Qualifications**:

- Educated to degree level, ideally Masters level within a Technical discipline (Engineering/Science)
- Intermediate/advanced level experience with Microsoft Office

**Salary**:
Up to £40k per annum depending on experience.

**Working Hours**:
Full time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours - we work flexibly within our core hours of 8am-4pm to support essential work life balance.

**Location**:
This is a hybrid-based role with a requirement to split working hours between our St Helens Centre of Excellence and home working.

**Holidays**:
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (FTE), pro rata may apply. Plus, additional service days.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
