**Responsibilities & Behavioural Competencies**
- Provide a market leading broking service, focused on providing quality customer service and positive outcomes for their clients.
- To develop a strong working relationship with our brokers, our insurers and other service providers.
- To ensure that you meet the latest compliance requirements and upcoming changes, to trade in a complaint manor, whilst ensuring compliant behaviour of your broker and escalating to the compliance department where appropriate.
- To trade with insurers to obtain best possible terms for our end customers
- Understand our brokers and end customer’s needs and the challenges they face
- Ensure you have the appropriate knowledge for your role by working with your Team Leader to create a development plan. This will include processes and procedures, compliance, product and market knowledges, IT and soft skills.
- To meet KPIs and objectives set out by the Team Leader.
- To take a proactive approach to problem solving.
- To take pride and ownership of your job.
- To add value to our customers at every interaction
- To deal with problems constructively, looking to solve the root cause of day to day issues faced, engaging with the Team Leaders and management.
- Support the Team Leader, undertaking tasks delegated where required.
- To support the business placement strategy laid out by the Insurer Relationship & Placement Manager
- Follow processes and procedures laid out by the Operations Manager, as well as working with them to develop and improve.
- To seek efficiencies across the business
- Adhere to the Broking Team Standards.
- Support other broking teams when required.
- To understand the roles of other team members in all teams of the business, understanding the impact you have on each other.
- Understand the culture of being an Employee Owner, the personal stake in the company’s performance and how to contribute to it’s success
**Key Challenges**
- Building and maintaining a working relationship with colleagues and brokers.
- Understand our brokers and end customer’s needs and the challenges they face.
- To ensure that you understand the latest compliance requirements and upcoming changes.
- Gaining an understanding of the insurance market.
- Learning new processes and procedures.
- Adhering to Broking Team standards.
- Understand the culture of being an Employee Owner, the personal stake in the company’s performance and how to contribute to its success.
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required**
- The individual should have several years’ experience working in an insurance broking capacity.
- A strong business sense is required to follow board & Management objectives, and to be able to understand and empathise with the challenges faced by our Brokers in their running their own business.
- GCSE or equivalent education is required, with A Level, degree level education and qualifications being preferable.
- General business understanding but with the will to learn and develop.
- Good communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Organised and methodical.
**Outcomes**
- Broker feedback
- Number of customer & client complaints
- Pro-active phone call activity
- Average number of days for renewal terms being no lower than 21 days before renewal
- All broker requests should be actioned within 48 hours.
- Renewal retention
- Training and Development plan in place and monitored to ensure competency.
- Consistently follow processes and procedures.
- Clear and concise delivery of tasks set by Team Leader.
- Resolving Account queries within 48 hours
- Cross selling opportunities of processes undertaking.
- Use of broking systems and consistency of processes undertaken
- Training and competency competency levels - compliance, product and market knowledges, broking systems, IT.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
