**Complex caseworker opportunity in Client Protection**

Client Protection is offering a 12-month complex caseworker vacancy within the compensation fund teams.

**The role**

As a complex caseworker, you will be responsible for your own caseload which includes a diverse portfolio of high-volume moderate matters to assist the compensation fund teams, as well as handling a large group of related complex cases with following responsibilities.
- Draft first-rate reports, make appropriate and justified recommendations in a consistent way.
- Present confidently the rationale behind your decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Build good relationships, communicate effectively and work collaboratively and liaise with relevant teams in the SRA to share information to protect consumers.

You will have a case working background, often dealing with difficult or document-heavy matters. Having knowledge of the compensation fund rules will be advantageous but support will be provided to the successful applicant.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience of complex case management in claims, legal or insurance (or comparable) environment
- Strong regulatory / investigation experience
- Experience of making proactive decisions making sound conclusions based on clear rationale demonstrating a good sense of risk-based judgement
- Ability to draft high quality reports with recommendations to deadline
- Ability to vary communication to the audience and explain technical information and complex issue simply both in writing and orally.

This role will be based in our Birmingham office up to two days a week, and from home the rest of the week.

**Essential**:
