**Job Summary**: The Door Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patrons, staff, and property at designated licenced premises in the UK. This role focuses on crowd management, access control, conflict resolution, and compliance with UK laws and regulations. The Door Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the venue's reputation and providing a positive experience for all visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Access Control**:

- Verify the identification of individuals seeking entry, adhering to the Challenge 25 policy and other legal requirements.
- Enforce age restrictions and entry policies in compliance with UK licensing laws.
- Monitor guest lists and tickets to permit entry only to authorized individuals.

**Crowd Management**:

- Monitor crowd density, queues, and ensure compliance with occupancy limits to prevent overcrowding.
- Manage the flow of people to maintain order and prevent congestion.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing guidance to patrons in a composed manner.

**Security and Conflict Resolution**:

- Identify and address potential security threats, unauthorized access, disturbances, and disruptive behaviour.
- Mediate conflicts and confrontations with professionalism, using effective verbal communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel when necessary.

**Surveillance**:

- Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment to identify suspicious activities and respond appropriately.
- Work in coordination with other security staff to ensure comprehensive venue coverage.

**Customer Service**:

- Greet patrons with a welcoming demeanour, creating a positive initial interaction.
- Provide assistance and accurate information to enhance patrons' overall experience.
- Possess knowledge of the venue's layout, services, and events to answer queries effectively.

**Liaison and Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with fellow security personnel, management, and emergency services for a coordinated response to incidents.
- Maintain clear communication using radio systems and other relevant channels.

**Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with UK laws, regulations, and licensing requirements pertaining to security and crowd management.
- Adhere to the venue's code of conduct and policies while on duty.

**Training and Development**:

- Participate in ongoing training to enhance conflict resolution, customer service, first aid, and emergency response skills.
- Stay updated on the latest security practices and industry trends in line with UK regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) door supervisor license.
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or related roles is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Physical fitness and capability to stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with UK laws, regulations, and emergency protocols.
- Competency in using security equipment and surveillance systems.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical dexterity for handling security equipment.
- Capability to manage potential physical altercations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £13.00 per hour
