Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, permanent Transport Shift Operator to join us on our AM shift for our ETEX contract based in Portbury, Bristol. Core hours are 06 00 - 14 00 but you’ll need flexibility to cover other shifts. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective running of our transport function.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Booking in and dispatching a team of 40+ own drivers, 6 shunters and 6 Warehouse Operatives
- Booking sub-contract vehicles and drivers into site working in a small but busy transport gatehouse
- Ensuring the timely loading of vehicles on site
- Dispatching Drivers
- Communicating issues to the customer
- Support the Shift Management team with customer ETA’s, haulier, and supplier communication
- Process Debrief Paperwork and file accurately and securely
- Providing Proof of Delivery to the customer
- Liaising with external hauliers
- Assist with operational planning
- Assist with maintenance planning
- KPI reporting
