**Position Overview**:We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Waiting Staff at the Winter Gardens, a premier event space known for hosting a wide range of events, from weddings and corporate functions to concerts and exhibitions. As a member of our waiting staff team, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive service, efficient assistance, and maintaining a positive atmosphere for events that can accommodate up to 500 guests.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Service**: Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and ensure their needs are met throughout the event. Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to ensure a memorable experience.
- **Table Setting**: Prepare tables with appropriate settings, including silverware, glassware, and linens, in accordance with the event specifications. Ensure a clean and inviting presentation.
- **Food and Beverage Assistance**: Assist in serving food and beverages to guests according to event menus and guidelines. Ensure accurate delivery and address any special dietary requests or allergies.
- **Timely Service**: Work efficiently to serve all guests in a timely manner, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth delivery of courses and drinks.
- **Upselling and Recommendations**: Familiarize yourself with the event's menu offerings and confidently provide recommendations to guests. Upsell additional items, such as wine pairings or desserts, to enhance their experience.
- **Problem Resolution**: Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Notify the management of any issues that require attention to ensure guest satisfaction.
- **Cleanliness and Setup**: Assist in setting up event spaces before and after events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring it is always presentable and welcoming.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborate effectively with fellow waiting staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless event execution. Communicate guest requests and special instructions accurately.
- **Payment Handling**: Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including handling cash transactions and using electronic payment systems.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards. Follow all policies and procedures outlined by the Winter Gardens management.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of organization.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods.
- Familiarity with food and beverage menus, including basic wine and drink knowledge.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
