**The Job**

Reporting to the Managing Director/Senior Management, you will be responsible for the driving of performance and quality standards whilst complying with third-party auditing bodies and customer requirements.

Key duties:

- Work with the senior teams to drive performance and process efficiency across the packhouse and high care facility.
- Manage the quality management system and HACCP. Plan daily production schedules according to demand and forward orders.
- Working with suppliers to ensure compliance, efficiency, and effective communication around supply and the challenges faced.
- Lead the team during site audits. Develop policies and procedures in line with risk assessments, food safety and process.
- Manage any issues, developing and implementing RCA/corrective actions.
- Responsibility for Health & Safety & staff wellbeing on site.
- Legal & Company compliance of quality, food safety and safety throughout the team. Specifically ensure compliance to the following legislation or standards - Health & Safety Executive, Food Standards Agency, Trading Standards, SALSA, Environmental Health and any other bodies including customers which deems relevant.
- Take overall responsibility for accuracy and legibility of all traceability and essential paperwork.

**Your experience**

Preferably have experience in sausage/burger and/or Bacon Curing manufacturing. Understanding key machinery, such as, mincers, mixers, Handmann sausage fillers. Understand preventative maintenance, Hygiene procedures within in food manufacturing environment and basic technical understanding.

Minimum requirement of Food safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3, or other relevant discipline, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, we are looking for an individual with solid quality assurance and technical experience within food manufacturing or relatable manufacturing discipline.

You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of food safety requirements, UK & EU legislation, HACCP, quality management systems, BRC and customer requirements. A background in Food production and high care foods is essential.

Ideally an experienced Factory Production Supervisor, you will have a hands-on approach to support the Operations & Quality of the site, whilst striving for continuous improvement. The team size within Factory is around 9 staff, this fluctuates depending on seasonal production needs.

You will be able to communicate effectively across all levels of business, both up and down. A hands-on, can-do attitude is essential whilst setting an example as a leader.

Driving standards in all areas of the business.

You also will be experienced in supplier auditing and preferably Lead Auditor qualified.

**Salary = £37,000 per annum.**
