Kitchen Assistant

Ox and Anchor are a new street food joint in Anstruther. We operate in a friendly, fun and laid back atmosphere.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the direction of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of meals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining experience for customers
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely meal service

- Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and other team members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
