**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Chief Client Officer, you will be responsible for all aspects of customer fund management You will manage payment processing across our banking & card product offerings. You will own and develop tools and processes to ensure that all relevant customer funds are safeguarded and optimised for liquidity management and investment.

This role includes managing the day-to-day running and development of our Payment Operations, Reconciliation, and Treasury Operations teams. The role holder would also be the appointed Safeguarding Officer at Railsr.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Governance and oversight of Bacs, Faster Payments, SWIFT, SEPA schemes and payments.
- Maintain strong regulator, partner bank, payment, and credit card scheme relationships.
- Forecast and manage Net Sender Cap and Debit Cap requirements.
- Reconcile card programmes, customer funding & defunding and scheme settlement.
- Reconcile customer revenue accounts and approve payouts as part of the billing process.
- Monitor timely resolution of customer support queries within service level agreements.
- Identify and address root cause issues behind frequent customer support requests.
- Monitor safeguarding, prefund and collateral requirements by the customer.
- Liquidity optimisation for onward investment into Money Market Funds.
- Oversight of the operational effectiveness of the firm’s systems and controls that are designed to achieve compliance with the firm’s regulatory safeguarding requirements.
- Review and approval of the daily client asset calculation and reconciliations.
- Report Develop, coordinate and maintain the client asset management plan (CAMP).
- Maintain a strong understanding of existing regulations, of upcoming developments and best practice covering client asset regulation.
- Presenting at and preparing materials for governance meetings such as the Safeguarding Committee and providing challenges where appropriate to ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to.

**Key Qualifications & Experience**:

- Proven experience with product programme governance and risk management frameworks.
- Experience taking ownership for Reconciliation and Safeguarding within an EMI environment.
- Knowledge of payments and accounting systems, collateral reporting systems, and end reporting/warehousing.
- Demonstrable financial and risk reporting knowledge, and experience from the business and/or technical area desired.
- Project management knowledge, and experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve milestones and deadlines across multiple projects at one time.
- Proven relationship management skills, with the ability to deepen relationships and build partnerships across the business, executive leadership and key functional support areas like Government Affairs, Communications, Legal, Compliance, Control, and Risk.
- Strong understanding of Railsr’s products, with knowledge of regulatory requirements and necessary risk processes and controls.
- Experience in compiling process and data quality metrics, analysing results to clearly communicate data-driven analysis to senior management.
- Should have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation).
