**The Role of the Learning Disabilities Team Leader**:
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team at a 12-bed residential home for young adults aged 16+ with learning disabilities, complex care needs, and acquired brain injuries in the heart of Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with specific needs. The Team Leader plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional care, support, and guidance to service users with learning disabilities, as well as leading the ‘team’ and supporting the Manager.

**Key responsibilities of a Learning Disabilities Team Leader include**:

- Leading and supervising a team of dedicated support workers
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to each resident's specific needs
- Ensuring that the service provided meets the highest standards of quality and compliance
- Supporting residents with day-to-day activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their social skills
- Liaising with families, external agencies, and healthcare professionals to ensure individual needs are met

**Learning Disabilities Team Leader Requirements**:

- Must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Must have at least 1 years’ experience as a Team Leader in a similar setting
