Sales Admin and Support Assistant - Crayford, Kent - Permanent Full Time - Monday - Friday | 08:45 - 17:15 (with 1 hour lunch)

About the Role:
Sales support and admin assistant is a key role in the company as your main duty will be answering the busy phone; as the first voice our customers hear, it is essential that you are experienced in telephone customer service. Ideally you will possess a natural ability to get to know our regular clients, and to help build good relationships with new clients, and can continue to build upon the company's excellent reputation by being friendly, professional, and personable on the phone, whether directing calls or answering enquiries yourself.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Confident on the phone and able to obtain accurate information from the caller with regards to who is calling and where is best to direct the call
- Accurate filing and archiving of electronic records
- Raising quotes and processing sales orders accurately, and checking they make sense technically
- Project awareness and following up quotations effectively
- Supporting sales team members by doing various tasks as required and helping to deal with any issues that may arise
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- Experienced and confident handling telephone calls - Excellent telephone manner
- Responsible / reliable / self-motivated / attention to detail
- Enthusiastic administrator - Efficient, clear-thinking organiser
- Good communication / listening skills - on telephone with customers (inc. overseas) / with colleagues / with contractors and freight forwarders, etc.
- Methodical and organised, ideally with some project / account management experience
- Staying calm and focussed under pressure
- Problem solving skills
- Confident with MS Word / Excel and ability to learn bespoke systems
- Knowledge of Sage200 (S.O.P.) and of export procedures would be an advantage
