Clinical Lead for The Personality Disorder Pathway

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the development the pathway for those who are often given the label of Borderline Personality Disorder. The Structured Clinical Management pathway has been in existence in Salford for over 5 years and is well established. Due to national and local investment and trust wide developments we now have the opportunity to develop the offer for people with Borderline Personality Disorder across all our services.

The role is an opportunity for someone possibly looking to take that next step in leadership, who has a passion for working with people given the label of BPD, and someone who is a great team player. We are looking for a person who is compassionate, prepared to challenge stigma and negative attitudes; and able to work alongside service users to co-develop and deliver our pathway. As well as being able to jump straight in at this exciting time.
1. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, support, and consultation to the Recovery teams for those who may be given a label of Personality Disorder
2. Provide consultation and direct engagement with people who may be given a label of Personality Disorder
3. Support care coordinators and MDTs in the management of cases
4. To assess and develop formulations to support people who may be given a label of personality disorder across the continuum of mental health settings both in community and inpatient settings
5. To provide therapeutic intervention as required to people who may be given a label of personality disorder.
6. To provide clinical supervision to Senior Practitioners for Personality Disorder and other staff requiring expert supervision as required.
7. Provide training to the workforce and EBE’s in relation to personality disorder
8. To ensure effective evaluation and development of the Personality Disorder Pathway and associated service development in line with the Trust strategy.
9. To develop effective service interfaces within the locality ICO offer, across the division and the Trust
10. Contribute to, and deliver, group treatments in relation to the role.
11. To facilitate a Reflective Practice Group
12. To facilitate a Complex Case Group and ensure access across the locality offer.
13. Contribute to the development of the Trust Personality Disorder strategy
