**About the Role**

The Counter Fraud Specialist will be responsible for handling investigative activities of the Special Investigations Unit for primarily EMEA and APAC and support to North America team as needed. This role closely interacts with our Regional Fraud Champions and the Property and Casualty Claims teams by driving business results through oversight of the referrals assigned to the unit for suspected fraud. The position also requires detailed knowledge of anti-fraud compliance requirements and meeting regulatory requirements by writing, updating, and filing company data and reports to various regulatory agencies as required.

The Investigator requires a high degree of technical knowledge and expertise in multiple lines of insurance and fraud related matters, as well as actively driving the development and execution of strategic and operational initiatives by establishing and coordinating best practices, and delivery of Anti-Fraud training in the identification and detection of insurance fraud.

**Your role will be to**:

- Coordinate investigative assignments, this will include handling referrals to the unit and directing services provided by both internal and external resources to improve unit performance.
- Ensure vendor services are performed in accordance with corporate policy, contract provisions, fiduciary guidelines, and service agreements by participating in negotiations, supervising and evaluating vendor performance.
- Support the development of predictive fraud models and operational initiatives as well as coordinate their implementation within the business.
- Ensure Counter Fraud awareness within the business by sharing industry knowledge, establishing best practices and delivering training as needed.
- Lead fraud related projects to aid the overall fraud program.

May perform additional duties as assigned.
- Experience with handling insurance claims fraud identification, ideally across multiple lines of business (Property & Casualty)
- Lead timely and effective fraud investigation strategies and provide claims handling guidance
- Experience of predictive modelling to support fraud detection
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to efficiently interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple cases or projects.
- Embrace diverse and innovative ideas to address problems.
- Identify and analyze trends, make strategic suggestions for improvement opportunities.
- Maintain transparent communication by efficiently communicating organization information and works to build consensus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business software.
