We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual looking to progress in **commercial finance** based in **Wellingborough**

**THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensuring Major New Contract cost implications are fully understood and costed out accurately to ensure both profitability of each individual events as well as the contract as a whole.
- Implement and maintain a cost accounting / recording system, documentation and records of the organisation.
- Improve & implement individual job costing models
- Identify standardised cost amounts for each cost category which can be applied on each individual contract / Job to help gauge profitability.
- Work closely with Ops Director in agreeing estimates of new and proposed event / contract costs.
- Analyse and recommend costs and potential cost savings against each individual event / contract.
- Prepare and complete regular internal cost audits.
- Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Analyse the data collected and compile a detailed database of the results.
- Analyse any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the jobs profitability.
- Analyse processes and indicative costs which are related and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Provide key stakeholders with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
- Conduct physical inventory checks and monitor current stock holding to ensure all current event commitments can be met.

**THE CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE**:

- Currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical experience and experience liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
