Are you compassionate when it comes to looking after the elderly? If so, we have the following night senior positions available at our 26 bed care home.
2 x Full time 36 hours
**Role Specific Duties**:
- Ensure Residents care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- To ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service and supervise staff
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Maintain Care Plans/care records in accordance with Kings Court
- Dispense medication following Kings Court Care Home policies and procedures
- To promote equality and diversity in the home
**Communication Skills**
Senior Carers need to build rapport with Residents by establishing personal connections and showing interest in their lives. You will recognise the importance of effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team, with Residents and their families/friends, whilst recognising people’s needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.
**Problem-Solving Skills**
Senior Carers need to be able to adapt and address situations quickly.
Plan, develop, implement and assess approaches to promote health and well-being, whilst recognising and reporting situations where there might be a need for protection
**Specific Requirement**
- Previous experience of working in similar environment
- Previous experience of working in similar supervisory role
- Experience of working with Residents, in particular, those that may have additional support needs
- **NVQ 2 Health and social care - required**:
- Level 3 Health and Social Care - preferred
- Excellent English language.
