Wood is recruiting for a Technical Lead Renewable Energy Consultant to join its advisory services team specialising in onshore and Offshore Wind projects.

Wood is a trusted advisor to Lenders and investors across the Renewables market globally. In particular Wood has a track record of performing LTA and M&A services in offshore wind internationally including established and new markets.

**The Role**

The Technical Lead will take on the responsibility of Project Director across a variety of Technical due diligence assignments as well as managing a portfolio of projects, assessing Wind assignments on behalf of our clients.

Key to this role will be the quality assessment of deliverables produced by the team incorporating your industry experience with a meticulous eye for detail.

As the Technical Lead you will be the main focal, ensuring any challenges that arise are dealt with directly and developing strong relationships to play a part in the successful financing of the project, and continued growth for the Renewables business.

This role will also be responsible for supporting the development of the advisory services more junior consultants. This will include reviewing and developing training material for the team. This will also involve mentoring and training, ensuring the knowledge and experience you have is shared to support in the future growth of the business.

**Typical responsibilities**
- Act as technical focal point for the advisory services Wind team
- Act as project director for portfolio of projects
- Review / authorise due diligence reports produced by team
- Support with training and development of advisory services team
- Assess renewable energy projects on behalf of lenders, investors and other project stakeholders
- Manage multi-discipline teams of engineers (and other technical staff) in the completion of due diligence assignments for exacting clients requirements
- In the role of project manager:

- Act as main interface and manage the relationship with clients
- Manage the financial performance of projects your projects
- Deliver tasks on time, to budget and to the required standard
- Comply with internal systems and processes for project management governance
- Attend client meetings and undertake site visits within the UK and globally
- Represent the company at conferences and seminars in order to enhance personal knowledge and / or establish business development leads
- Follow up on leads to generate fresh work
- Ensure continuing professional development
