PJA Carpentry Ltd is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper/administrator on a permanent contract and a full time basis. This role will report to directly to the Directors and is based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, we have free on-site parking.

We are a labour only carpentry sub-contractor working on new build developments comprising mainly of houses and flats.

Tasks include:

- Bank reconciliation, journals, prepayments, cash flow, VAT
- Creditors, Debtors, expenses, online banking
- CITB grant claims, levy return
- Prepare accounts each month
- Prepare accounts and pack of reports for quarter end Accountants visit
- Prepare and send wages which are outsourced, fortnightly
- Liaising with suppliers, payroll company, customers
- Various reports for the Directors
- Adhoc administration tasks to assist with the smooth running of the office where training will be provided

Skills required:

- Proficiency in WORD and EXCEL
- Familiar with accounting software
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
- Work on own initiative and as part of a small team
- Strong organisational and communication skills

**Working Hours : 9am - 5pm**

Interviews held week commencing 29th April 2024

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
