We are currently seeking a People and Systems Administrator to support and enable all the teams across the Catapult. Working collaboratively, you will provide excellent administrative and systems support to the People Team ensuring we maintain highest levels of customer service to our colleagues and external clients alike.

Reporting into People and Systems Manager and working closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner, this is a highly networked role that requires great attention to detail with a systems focus, ability to be proactive, work to challenging deadlines and be willing to learn.

Previous experience in a People orientated role is desirable, but not essential but you must have systems experience or a background having worked with an IT system.

The role will occasionally require travel to other offices in the UK and offers fully flexible hybrid working. Our Headquarters are based in Harwell, South Oxfordshire, where you will be able to work alongside your team and other members of the Catapult.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing a friendly and efficient experience as the first point of contact for all people and payroll queries
- Acting as system administrator by inputting, managing and maintaining the employee data held within Atlas. (our HR IT system).
- Managing and sending offers of employment and delivering the onboarding of new employees in an approachable and efficient way using a variety if systems
- Improving the use of Atlas by adding templates, creating reports, updating portals and sorting employee records.
- Manage the compliance for new hires, such as virtual RTW checks and completing essential activities for new hires such as arranging IT kit
- Supporting the TA Partner with recruitment activities such as:

- Adding job descriptions to our recruitment system
- Coordinating and booking interviews
- Assisting with the monthly payroll process
- Supporting the rest of the People team with various activities which will enable you to build your skills beyond the core role, for example:

- Working with the Director of People and Organisational development on ED&I activities
- Supporting the Culture Committee and Mental Health First Aid Team with initiatives
- Enhancing our well-being activities by sourcing training providers and delivery of programs to our colleagues
- Supporting our Learning & Development Partner

**Skills & Experience required**:

- High level of knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Organised and willing to organise others when needed
- Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for processing numerical information (such as payroll data)
- Experience in working within a busy team, dealing with questions and a varied workload
- Ability to effectively prioritise and reprioritise based on nature of demands
- High level of systems knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to learn

**You know you have been successful when**:

- The data in Atlas is accurate, and maintained and can be relied upon.
- Atlas is used to reduce the admin burden of key processes (such as Salary and Bonus Planning letters, etc)
- New employees have had such a great experience joining the company they seek you out to thank you for your support
- You spot opportunities to improve and design better experiences without being asked
- You are responding to people’s queries within 24 hours and, when you don’t know the answer you commit to find out
- You are able to support the TA manager with the interview and selection process for other roles, not just supporting the arrangement of the interviews
- There are rarely, if ever, any payroll errors
- We, and Finance, all trust the data in our system
