Cambridge, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bioinformatician to join Professor James Nathan's and Professor Paul Lehner's groups, based at the Cambridge Institute for Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID). The work between the Nathan and Lehner laboratory employ an integrated approach, using biochemistry, cell biology, CRISPR genetic screens and epigenetics, to understand how chromatin regulation and cell fate determination. The project will focus on regulation of the HUSH pathway, and the response through metabolic reprogramming and chromatin modifications.

The work will be pursued in the Cambridge Institute for Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID). This brand new building, with state-of-the-art facilities, is housed on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus alongside the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute. Current computational and statistical approaches will be required to work with ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, metabolomics and clinical databases, to characterise the molecular changes underlying activation of the hypoxia response and hypoxic/metabolic epigenetic regulation.

Applicants will be expected to work closely and interactively with colleagues in different disciplines within the lab, have good communications skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
