**Main duties of the job**:

- Contribute to allocated projects, ensuring they are planned, managed and evaluated in a timely and effective way
- Responsible for identifying and reporting on issues and risks and undertaking mitigating actions
- Take responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness, reliability and appropriateness of data ensuring quality decisions can be made
- Take a lead for analysis and reporting of specific target areas as agreed
- Develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with key internal & external stakeholders
- Engage with local services, partners and a diverse range of community groups to increase local awareness of the service and explore partnership opportunities and co-production activities
- Support the Senior Programme Manager, Programme Manager, Communications Manager, Project Officer and the Director in other programme activities when needed
- Attend programme boards and other stakeholder meetings which require minute taking skills
- Contribute to the financial delivery of the project ensuring they are delivered on time
- Be flexible to respond to the current and emerging needs of the service

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
**RESPONSIBILITY FOR POLICY AND SERVICE DEVELOPMENT**
- Contribute to the formulation of plans and direction within strategic area on project, service, or initiative issues, taking a lead for specific work streams
- Deliver against objectives, achieving quality outcomes
- Work with members of the project/programme team to investigate the causes of any variance from target/plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the programme making adjustments as necessary
- Contribute to the performance improvement, taking a lead for specific areas where agreed
- Develop policies in own specialist area with an impact London-wide
- Postholder will be required to attend programme boards and other stakeholder meetings which require minute taking skills

***RESPONSIBILITY FOR FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL RESOURCES**
- Inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating projects by providing sophisticated, high quality project analysis
- Contribute to the financial delivery of the project ensuring they are delivered on time
- Contribute to commissioning of services, as required

**RESPONSIBILITY FOR LEADING AND MANAGING**
- Work in a matrix management style and foster close working relations with colleagues within the NHS in London
- Provide training, advice, and support on own area of responsibility
- Support training and induction of new and existing staff
- Participate in the recruitment process of support staff

***RESPONSIBILITY FOR INFORMATION RESOURCES**
- Work with members of the project team to develop and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data
- Develop and maintain databases required by the project/programme

***RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT**
- Regular horizon scanning of best practice and ways of working within the sector and within project management
- Provide summaries of recent publications to share with internal and external colleagues where relevant

- Develop and maintain key working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives to provide project, information and analytical advice and expertise
