**Job description**:
**Location**: Seascale - Hybrid 3 days in office can flex

The scope of the work is to plan and deliver the scheduled exercises in a variety of plants against set emergency instructions and procedures, coaching and mentoring the teams, feeding back results, and managing stakeholders' expectations.

To assist the Remediation areas duty holders to achieve the expected standards of the Nuclear Site License Condition 11 - Emergency Arrangements.
- To support implementation of governance arrangements to ensure appropriate legislative, regulatory, environmental, safety and quality requirements are complied with across their area of responsibility.
- Knowledgeable and capable of developing, implementing, and maintaining emergency preparedness policies, processes, tools, procedures etc. that meet emergency management requirements and ONR/WNO/INPO standards from the four functional areas.
- To serve as a role model for safety performance.
- To develop and implement resolutions to identified issues or concerns.
- To work with the Emergency Planners to support their learning and completion of tasks.
- To perform self-assessment on the assigned functional area and/or support self-assessment in other functional areas.
- To define operating experience feedback to share across the wider emergency preparedness community.
- To participates as umpire and/or evaluator in drills and exercises.
- To participate on emergency management working groups as assigned.
- To produce drills and exercise MSC papers and present to the relevant committees.
- To support benchmarking and the development of a learning and continuous improvement culture in the emergency preparedness.
- Identify cost effective alternative/improvement opportunities.
- To ensure actions are compliant, effective, and efficient.
- To meet deadline dates for work activities and corrective actions.

**Minimum Requirement**:

- Essential Skills_
- Degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent in relevant discipline with adequate experience.
- OR, where appropriate, part professional qualification with adequate relevant experience. (Emergency background/services)
- Suitable relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications where appropriate.
- A high degree of organisation and planning skills of self and others to meet service delivery to time schedule and cost.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to think logically and analytically to resolve problems using a range of tools and techniques.
- Demonstrable evidence in planning and implementing emergency exercises/drills.
- Desirable Skills_
- Flexible attendance (to support shift rotas and drills/exercises etc.).
- Experience of working in an operational environment and radiological controlled areas.
- Knowledge of emergency response equipment.
