Inspection Services is a core part of the Manheim Inventory Solutions business and is the number one provider of end of lease vehicle inspection and logistics services. Inspection Services offers its customers a seamless process that enables them to capture end of lease damage on the vehicle in the presence of the Hirer, thus providing a tangible return on investment. Inspection Services delivers volumes into our Vehicle Services and Auctions business as well as vehicles to businesses outside the Manheim portfolio. **Scope of the Role**:
Reporting into the Director of Inspections and Assurance the Head of Operations will have full responsibility and accountability for all Operational functions within Head Office and in the field, as specified below;
- Logistics & Transport
- Inspection and Collection Operations
- Operations support
- Scheduling and Planning

The Head of Operations is key to the strategic planning for Manheim Inspections Services and will be required to review existing operational processes and scope new solutions to meet business objectives.

Development of Inspection Service Products and the relationship between customers and the business will form a key part of your business objectives.

Supporting the sales team to enable them to have a clear understanding MIS products and services, contributing to tender submissions and acting a point of reference will also be crucial.

Efficient control of Operational activity starting with effective planning of Inspection and driver resource, quality of Inspections, customer interactions and onward movement of vehicles to their point of sale.

The Manheim Inspections Transport Division will make up 50% of task list, this team successfully co-ordinate the timely movement of 140,000+ vehicles per annum, from hub sites to sale locations, between auction locations and dealer deliveries. All movements utilising Manheim Logistics and multiple 3rd party logistics providers.

Your role will require you to lead, engaged and manage a team of managers within your remit, who will deliver their day to day business KPI’s within their own areas. You will coach and mentor those managers so they can balance employee welfare against the customer and financial goals of the business.

**Responsibilities**
- Direct accountability and responsibility for the management of MIS National Operations Manager and Transport and Logistics Manager
- Ownership of Transport, Operational and Field service standards, practices and performance
- Ownership of P&L relating to Transport and Field Activities; manage costs and revenues to ensure the organization optimise financial opportunity.
- Customer Relationship Management - establishing trusted contacts at a senior level with OEMs, Lease cos and suppliers (esp transport / hub sites).
- Collaborative lead with other internal Cox Automotive stakeholders at Director level on transformation projects relating to transport and field activities.
- Own relationships between MIS and Transport providers (including hub sites)
- Formulate business strategy with others in the executive team
- Design policies that align with overall strategy
- Implement efficient processes and standards
- Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g. GDPR)
- Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization
- Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders
- Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts
- Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
- Lead of Losses / Accident Management process
