**The Role**:
The primary function of the Accounts Assistant Cashier is to ensure that the company's incoming & outgoing payments are recorded accurately, then processed efficiently to the company's accounting system, which reflects against the live working capital position ensuring that all banking entries have been posted proving a true reflection of the company live liquidity position.

The Accounts Assistant Cashier will be responsible for tasks like:

- Receiving and opening mail.
- Administration which includes filing.
- Posting incoming & outgoing Payments.
- Banking of cheques at local bank.
- Processing customer credit cards
- Troubleshoots the possible causes of an incorrect postings

The Accounts Assistant Cashier will support their line manager ensuring, first class customer service and providing support & assistance in the smooth running of the finance department.

**Role Responsibilities**:
**Main Duties**:
**_ Receivables_**
- Analyse electronic & manual receipts for correct allocation onto customer & general ledger accounts
- Liaise with credit control team providing reporting on incoming daily receipts to ensure timely and correct allocation.
- Processing of customer credit card payments
- Banking & processing of customer cheques on a weekly basis
- Provide sufficient administration to Profishop management team

**_ Payables_**
- Analyse bank statements and extract direct debits for allocation to supplier & general ledger accounts
- Post weekly direct debits onto vendor SAP accounts.
- Post manual AP payments to vendor accounts on a daily basis
- Prepare & post manual cheque payments on a daily basis
- Raise outbound payments through online banking platform

**_ General_**
- Assist with inter-company transactions (loans/deposits/transfers)
- Co-ordinate filing and archiving of financial documents

**_ Other duties_**
- Assist as required with other processes within the Finance & Working Capital departments including:

- Balance sheet reconciliations (Bank Reconciliations)
- Intercompany postings between JUK & JFS

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the Accounts Assistant Cashier may be required to perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Credit Risk Manager or any other Senior Finance Manager

Your normal place of work will be Milton Keynes. However, the Company may require you to perform your duties as such from other places of business within the company or at home as is when necessary and reasonable.
