**THE COMPANY**:
Our client is a dynamic global broker that provides specialist insurance, reinsurance and capital markets advisory services.

**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To maintain Policies designed to manage Financial Crime Risk, covering principally Money Laundering; Sanctions; Bribery & Corruption; and Fraud.
- To assist UK and Overseas Businesses (line 1) in implementing controls and procedures designed to meet Policy requirements including the procurement of services from third parties
- To prepare an annual Annual Financial Crime Risk Review and Assessment, identifying Financial Crime risks over near term (1 year) and medium term (3 years) and making recommendations to the Board for their resolution.
- To write other regular reports for the Boards and Committees of the Business globally, advising on the status of Financial Crime risk management
- To identify emerging Financial Crime risk and advise the Board on risk appetite and controls
- To represent the Business at industry Financial Crime forums
- To lead on Financial Crime query resolution and advise the business on transactions and relationships including the approval of High Risk relationships and transactions
- To lead investigations into significant Financial Crime events
- To write (and where appropriate) deliver Financial Crime training materials suitable to the jurisdictions in which the Business operates
- To liaise with, and report to, external bodies on Financial Crime matters including the FCA, NCA, Lloyds of London, OFSI and other global regulatory bodies (and to assist local businesses when doing same)
- Manage Financial Crime Analysts as & when recruited to the team.
- Maintain the Financial Crime Register

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Extensive experience leading a global Financial Crime function.
- Expert understanding of Financial Crime matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience of investigations into Financial Crime breaches
- Management of relationships with senior stakeholders up to and including C-Suite
