**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Ensures that all work areas are adequately staffed to cover the service using forward planning employing a flexible approach to meet any changes in workload and challenging deadlines working alongside the Health Records System Administrator Lead across reception areas, clinic preparation, admissions, and Scanning Bureau.
- Cross-cover the daily running of the Scanning Bureau when the Lead is on annual leave.
- Cultivate strong relationships with all specialities in the Trust dealing with the day-to-day issues as they arise.
- Be aware of, identify and report health and safety risks as they arise in the department to ensure the safe retrieval of patient records.
- Support the Head of Medical Records and Deputy and other team members to manage changes to the provision of the Medical Records service.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous admin experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- Careflow and Evolve (desirable)
- Staff management experience
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience._
