York Cocoa Works is a busy chocolate visitor facility with activities running at weekends and peak holiday periods. A flexible approach is required to meet demands in holiday seasons and to respond constructively to demand fluctuations.

A love of chocolate is a must but specialist training will also be provided to support enthusiastic professionals.

**Role Overview**

We are looking for an Events Supervisor to work with the York Cocoa Works team. You will have supervisory responsibility for delivery of our education and event program. Delivering workshops, private parties, community events, corporate and educational activities both on and off-site.

Your primary focus will be the delivery of our daily activity program. You will lead the workshops, from the tasting tours, to the theory of chocolate making and the hands-on workshops.

**About you**

Ideally, you will have held a supervisory position in a similar environment or have previous teaching/training or delivery experience. Full training will be given about our history and product, we are therefore looking for an enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude who is willing to fully embrace and develop this role.

You must be confident when speaking to large groups. You must be a flexible and enthusiastic team player and be able to organise and manage your own time and events diary and efficiently problem solve to keep activities to a full and busy schedule.

**Required Skills and Attributes**:

- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise in a dynamic customer facing environment.
- Able to effectively communicate with customers and the team.
- Works well in busy environments.
- Computer literate.
- Able to use own initiative, with a flexible positive attitude bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to problem solve.
- Motivated individual who works well as part of a team.
- Passionate about chocolate and the promotion of independent food manufacturing businesses.
- Experienced in delivering exceptional customer service in the food and drink sector.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practice.

**Experience**:

- Experience communicating to groups of people - Essential
- Hospitality / Event Experience - Preferred
- Catering / Training Experience - Preferred
