Job Introduction BBC Wales is launching traineeships specifically for disabled people.
Consisting of eight-week placements in either radio, news or business operations departments, trainees will have the opportunity to undertake work experience in the heart of BBC Wales. The traineeships will provide individuals with industry experience in each of the departments, where they will be actively engaged in day to day activities including script writing, researching, writing copy, producing content and much more.

Main Responsibilities

Each department will require varying responsibilities for the trainees and are highlighted below.

**News**
- Researching stories and fixing the guests and case studies for online, TV and radio
- Writing copy
- Pitching a story and delivering it for online

**Radio Wales**
- Researching items for programmes and sourcing guests
- Working with our digital team to produce content for social media
- Writing briefs and scripts for presenters

**Business and Operations**
- To work alongside specialist in studio set up, output professionals and schedulers who co-ordinate everything behind the scenes
- Shadowing a producer in the Gallery during a live transmission
- To understand the process of programme making from start to finish

We are seeking individuals that are keen to learn about roles within the broadcasting and media industry here with us at BBC Wales and experience is less of a requirement for this role as we are looking for the following attributes and behaviours:

Package Description
