Live in Housekeeper

**Job Summary**: This is a great opportunity for a very experienced hands-on housekeeper. You will have previously worked on a country estate and confident with high end furnishings, antiques and expensive artwork. This is a lovely family to work for, the current housekeeper is leaving after 19 years, they have a great team including gardeners, chauffer handy man and office staff. The family have two older children who occasionally will visit, their youngest teenage son will be attending boarding school in September. The property is a gorgeous 7-bedroom, 3000 square foot home with a pool and gym. The gardens are stunning and a team of 6 take care of them. The home is 19 years old with beautiful interiors including high end artwork and antiques. The family own homes overseas and a flat in London and do travel quite a bit. They also have one very friendly vizsla dog.

**Accommodation**:Separate cottage on the grounds, partners and or pet considered on a case-by-case basis

**General duties**:

- Responsible for all the housekeeping of the property
- Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management and care of fine fabrics
- Grocery shopping and ensuring the property is stocked with necessary items.
- Preparing the property for guest arrivals
- Occasional Dog sitting when owners away (they do take the dog on some of the trips)
- Preparing dinner on occasion or food prep
- Specialized cleaning of the antiques, silverware and fine furnishings
- Turn down service and Changing beds (many of the rooms are only occupied when the (grown up) children are visiting or guests are in residence)
- Deep cleaning
- Packing and unpacking for travel may be needed.
- Liaising with deliveries and tradesmen
- It is essential you have experience working in country estates and have had a similar position.
- Working for HNW families is required with an eye for detail.
- Have experience with the care of art and antiques and fine fabrics
- Trustworthy and discreet
- Fluent English skills and good communication
- Ability to be part of a team
- gets on with other staff.
- Self-managed and proactive, can multitask.
- Dog friendly - happy to help with dog sitting.
- Confident driver - car will be provided for you.

**Salary**: up to £40,000 gross per year,
