An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urology Cancer Specialist Nursing team, for the position of Uro-oncology Assistant practitioner/ Nursing Associate.

The Urology cancer team currently provides support to people along the whole patient pathway from pre-diagnosis to living with and beyond cancer or transition to end of life care. They work along-side a wider Multi-professional team to ensure a high quality and coordinated service is provided to all patients.

The current friendly and hardworking team are looking to develop and expand their services, seeking a compassionate and empathetic qualified Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner.

This is a great opportunity to join the evolving Urology cancer specialist nurse team to provide an outstanding level of care and support to our patients.

You should be a qualified band 4, who has completed either the Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner course.

We are looking for someone who is well organised with extensive communication skills and the ability to work autonomously, and someone with a genuine interest in Urology cancer. It is imperative that they are passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything they do.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.
