Bookkeeper

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join us based at our offices in Smithaleigh.
We are seeking a bookkeeper who has considerable experience in day to day bookkeeping using Sage 50 Accounts software and general bookkeeping duties. Knowledge of a construction background would be advantageous.
You will be confident in running your own Sales Ledger and contacting customers for monies due.
You will have experience with basic payroll preparation.
You will have a high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
You will be able to manage your time efficiently and be prepared to take on ad-hoc tasks when required.
You will be highly organised and must be a self-starter with a proven ability to multi task and use your own initiative to solve problems
You will be reliable and committed, with a friendly and helpful attitude towards customers and colleagues.
Below are examples of the day to day tasks:
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Reconciliation of Online customer receipt portals
- Raising sales invoices for customers
- Credit control
- Handling cash
- Filing
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
- Management of employee’s holiday requests
- Payroll preparation for external payroll provider on a monthly basis
- Experience with CIS an advantage
- Working with external accountants and payroll providers

Pay: £16,666.00-£31,068.00 per year
