We are seeking an
experienced SENDCo who is appropriately qualified, or is working towards the
appropriate qualifications to lead SEND in our wonderful village primary
school. The role would be non-class based, initially on a 0.1 basis but with
the possibility of 0.2 as required - we are able to be flexible with working
days.

**About our school**:
We have 78
children on role, in 4.5 classes who are supported by a committed and driven
team of staff, parents and governors. We are proud of our curriculum,
inclusivity, our personal development programme and strong culture of
safeguarding.

**About the role**:
17% of our pupils
are on the SEND register, 4% of whom have EHCP’s. SEND provision is a strength
of our school, recognised by the Local Authority and we have well-established
systems in place for supporting children with special educational needs. We plan
to have an enhanced transition alongside our existing SENDCo to ensure the
smoothest start possible.

**are looking for a SENDCo who**:

- Is

a qualified teacher with the necessary qualifications or experience to lead

SEND.
- Is

passionate about, and an expert in, adaptive teaching strategies.
- Is

passionate about children’s wellbeing - especially those who have SEND.
- Has

a proven track-record of working with pupils with a range of different

abilities and needs eg. autism.
- Is

able to develop and establish clear systems to ensure the provision for SEND

pupils is exceptional.
- Is

able to develop excellent relationships with pupils, staff, governors and

parents.
- Has

excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Has

the ability to lead staff in developing their knowledge and expertise in

working with SEND children and can lead and deliver CPD for staff who work with

SEND children.
- Is

able to monitor the effectiveness of provision for SEND pupils.
- Is

tenacious in the pursuit of the best outcomes - including working alongside

external agencies.
