About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join Booker Group within the Retail Support Team as a Communications Assistant.
In this role you will be responsible for: Supporting the Retail Communications Manager in developing and delivering the Retail Communications Plan; creating engaging, concise and accurate B2B marketing collateral to inform and educate stores on business initiatives and industry developments; monitoring performance of campaigns and making recommendations for improvement.
You will be responsible for
Working with the Retail Communications Manager to design and implement a communications strategy across all our retail brands;
Producing clear, concise store communication on major issues to minimise the effect on store operations;
Updating and maintaining the Store Communications Planner and plan activity and communications accordingly;
Producing and managing content on the retailer website to ensure content is engaging, relevant and current;
Working with our Digital team to produce reports to monitor campaign performance and make recommendations for improvement;
Helping to identify common ways of working across all our retail brands to streamline the communications process.
You will need
Excellent written and creative design skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
The ability to work well cross-functionally with multiple departments and across various levels of the business;
To be fully IT literate including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint;
To be used to working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload appropriately;
A strong attention to detail;
To be able to work as a team, while at the same time being able to stay motivated when working alone.
This role is a key link between our head office and our wholesale customers. The role gives insight into a number of elements of the business that may be otherwise not be available in a pure marketing role.
