**Job Title - Senior Internal Communications Manager**

**Location - Predominantly home based *Occasional travel to London but it does not matter where you are based.**

**Salary - Circa £50k-£60k**

**Contract Type - Permanent, Full-Time**

**What will be keeping you busy?**

To support in the creation and execution of the internal communications and engagement strategy that reflects the cultural ambitions of the company through creative, engaging and purposeful communication that connects colleagues with the business valuesand purpose. Working closely with the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement, along with a variety of stakeholders to translate engaging activity into meaningful messages through storytelling and activity tailored to the needs of each audience. Creatingan organisation-wide internal communications schedule/calendar, working with Colleagues to collate and co-ordinate the timely dissemination of information to the relevant audiences. Support change programmes and key transformation activity through the definitionof communication strategies and timely, relevant messaging.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for an innovative communications professional with an extensive track record of shaping and delivering internal communication in an organisation of comparable scale, distribution, or complexity. Possessing in depth knowledge of internal communicationbest practice and can demonstrate sound creative judgment across a range of channels and methods of delivery. Effectively be able to communicate with influence and have the ability to understand our audience and reflect our culture and values in words thatinspire and influence through communication strategies that drive change.

**Skills and attributes for success**
- Balancing the needs/wants of people, against the organisation’s needs/requirements for communications, and having the gravitas to influence accordingly and/or offer alternatives.
- Ability to translate business objectives into short
- and long-term communication strategies
- Support Colleagues to generate their own compelling content (copy writing, editing, designing, and proofreading) for a variety of online and offline channels
- Manage the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organisational perception and reputation
- Oversee all internal social media channels monitoring and provide social media management support to Colleagues
- Work closely with Public Affairs and Marketing Colleagues, to ensure consistent messaging and joined up communication on key themes.
- Collaborate with internal department Heads and Operational Colleagues to ensure message consistency, break down silos and identify and resolve any conflicting interests
- Expertise in working with creative external partners.
- Ability to contextualise complex issues, identify key points to address and develop plans to resolve problems
- Leading and managing communications during times of crisis or pressure
- Experience of communicating through change and in building internal communication strategies that drive change
- Experience of working in a large, multi-site organisation
- Managing internal communication teams
- Working collaboratively with Colleagues - organisation wide
- Knowledge of Health and Social care sector would be helpful, though not critical
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Active listening & Problem solving
- Excellent creativity & attention to detail
- Leadership & stakeholder engagement skills
- Effective interpersonal skills & the ability to identify and build effective and sustainable relationships
