**About The Role**:
We have an opportunity for a Head of Logistics Manager based in London Heathrow, working for our Aviation & Gateways division.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of our logistics operation, ensuring the efficient and dynamic delivery of our customers’ products, safely, 365 days per year As the primary point of contact between the customer and your team, you will be confident in discussing all things contract delivery scope and performance, leading your team of Logistics Managers to be motivated and successful in what they do, and ultimately overseeing all operational performance including budgets, forecasts, compliance and efficacy.

**Other Responsibilities will include**:

- Exceeding Customer expectations for the Quality and Timeliness of all products and services supplied.
- Ensure security compliance to Department for Transport (DfT) Regulated Supplier status level as the nominated and responsible person within the OCS security program
- Performance and continuous improvement of the Logistics and Dispatch area.
- Welfare, time & attendance, appraisal and development of the Logistics teams and ensure succession plans are in place.
- Ensure vehicle and driver compliance as the nominated responsible person for transport operations, recognised by VOSA.
- Manage the safety performance of subordinates and ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions and subordinates.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.

Our operation runs 17 hours per day every day of the year and there will be occasions when out of normal office hours will be required.

**Qualifications and Experience required**:

- Higher Education Qualification in Production, Warehousing or Business Management is essential.
- UK Aviation Security Manager Certificate (desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
- Transport Certificate of Professional Competence (desirable)
- Warehouse/Production/Process/Transport Management
- Results Oriented - Achieving results in a similar continuous short lead time supply operation.
