An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payroll/Finance Assistant to work for this busy and successful business. Your duties will be as follows:

- Providing payroll for approximately 400 employees on a monthly basis
- Managing the transfer of data from staff time and attendance process
- Responsible for new starters, leavers and absence information for the group
- Weekly review of time and attendance system; looking at hours, missing holidays etc
- Monitoring HMRC portal for messages and changes to tax codes
- Monthly payroll journal and month end accrual preparation
- Managing pension enrollment and scheduling payments
- Responsible for month and year end processes including P60s
- Checking invoice calculations and values against timesheets
- Resolving queries and providing feedback
- Processing invoices onto Sage purchase ledger and agreeing statement balances
- Updating invoice details to provide month end accrual date
- Managing all ledger petty cash postings and reconciling
- Responsible for monthly petty cash spreadsheet and expense receipts from staff
- Providing year-end accounts information to FD
- Covering for finance team in their absence

You will have strong IT skills, particularly with Sage Payroll and Excel. You will be an excellent communicator and have solid interpersonal skills.
