FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

**SALARY**: £19,860 per annum + Sign On Bonus + Retention Bonus + Benefits

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent (Part Time posts also available)

**WORKING HOURS**: 35 hours per week on a rota basis

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker with excellent communication skills and knowledge and an understanding of mental illness.

This service is CQC registered and provides a 24/7 supported living service for individuals with high support needs. Working as a Support Worker you will help people with their day to day living and social skills, as well as helping to provide access to social activities, further education, employment and training.

As a Support Worker you will work closely with individuals to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.

DUTIES

**Your role as a Support Worker will include**:
Prompting with personal care

Supporting with medication

Providing encouragement with household tasks such as laundry, cooking and cleaning

Supporting to learn new skills, achieve their goals and ambitions

Assisting people pursue their interests and hobbies

Working with other mental health professionals and the family/friends of the person being supported

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Strong communication skills

An understanding of mental illness

A passion for making a difference

Willingness to study for an NVQ in Health and Social Care
