**IT Support Officer**

**The Appointment**

The post-holder is expected to provide administrative support services to the IT team ranging from asset management, procurement, support for IT projects, requirements gathering, testing, or escalation of IT tickets to external partners.

The post-holder is expected to support the Head of IT in performing audits and policing IT.

The post-holder is expected to provide IT support for bespoke workflows, e.g. on-line exams.

The postholder will be responsible to the Head of IT.

**The Post**
- To manage user accounts through their life cycle.
- To manage IT assets through their life cycle and to maintain an accurate asset register.
- To manage the College’s estate of laptop trolleys
- To liaise with vendors and suppliers, to obtain quotations, to liaise with their technical teams.
- To regularly review the IT disaster recovery plan.
- To provide support for IT projects and IT procurements.
- To manage the requirements and IT solutions for end users with bespoke workflows, e.g., the College's Exams Team.
- To provide IT training to end users.
- To support the Head of IT in implementing best practices for cyber security.
- To support the Head of IT in developing and implementing the College’s IT replacement plan.
- To provide first-line IT support and to deputize for the Service Desk Coordinator.
- To provide training to first
- and second-line IT staff as well to end-user.
- To participate in IT maintenance tasks.

Experience in implementing and auditing policies E A/I

**Salary**:
£23,778.00 to £25,767.00 per annum

**Summary of Terms and Conditions of Employment**

There will be an annualised working year of 1628 hours. The weekly pattern of hours to be worked are commensurate with the needs of the College.

The postholder will be entitled to receive normal remuneration for all Bank and Public Holidays usually observed in England and Wales and to a further 30 days holiday in each holiday year
(1 September - 31 August). The College may also close for a number of days in the interest of efficiency.

Evening and/or early morning duty will be necessary during August and September for enrolment and May and June for examination registration and general enquiries. Annual leave may not be taken from 20 August until the 2nd week in September.

The postholder will be eligible to contribute automatically to the Merseyside Pension Fund

During their employment with the College the postholder will be expected to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the professional image of the College. The postholder will be expected to provide a prompt and efficient service and to maintain appropriate standards of personal appearance at all times.
