**This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday
Salary £21,000 to £22,000 (depending on experience)
You will be working for IAS (Independent Assessment Services) who conduct assessments for the PIP benefit.
Independent Assessment Services delivered by Atos is an independent assessment provider assessing Personal Independence Payment (PIP) cases on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).Their job is to help DWP understand how a person’s health conditionor disability affects their daily lives.
Your job roles will be:
- Front office / Receptionist
- Open and close assessment centre
- Plan - in / outbound calls
- Team of around 15 people - Clinical and Non-Clinical staff
- Book assessments for the PIP assesses
- Basic Admin - works off excel spread sheet
- Monday to Friday - hours between 8am - 6pm
- Order stationary
- Can move to Senior site coordinator - Internally Only
What you will do:
You will act as the front face of IAS and will manage the customer experience for all visitors and staff attending the office. You will be a key part of the customer journey and will need to ensure you maintain the highest levels of customer service. You willbe expected to provide support and compassion to customers across a variety of activities and general queries.
Other daily duties will consist of ensuring the assessment centre is fully prepared for the start of each day, in terms of equipment/supplies and general appearance.
You will also manage the appointment arrivals board ensuring systems keep up to date and in good order. You will also manage any special requests e.g., where a translator may be required, undertake the required identity checks with each customer and generaladministration duties, e.g., answering the telephone, copying, documents etc.
You will be expected to complete courtesy calls to confirm upcoming appointments, make any necessary changes and also liaise with not only the claimant but potentially the claimant’s carer, guardians and or housing associations.
What we need from you:
- At least 1 year’s customer service experience
- Excellent I.T skills
- particularly Microsoft Office

- Great interpersonal skills and ability to build a rapport with people
