A leading transport company are looking to recruit a Social Media Content Executive to join their growing team.
You will be part of an agile team focused on driving brand love and engagement on social media. Reporting into the Head of Social Media Content, you’ll get involved with both the day-to-day social content as well as big, integrated campaigns, working collaborativelywith PR and the wider business. This role is all about taking business objectives and transforming them into content that moves people to like, comment and share.
As an expert in all things social media, you’ll be a passionate advocate of the power of social, helping to raise the profile of social media channels internally as well as externally. You’ll be instrumental to maintaining relationships with key stakeholderson a day-to-day basis.

Core duties & responsibilities:

- Informed by the social strategy, you’ll be writing copy, sourcing assets and creating original content.
- You’ll work on big, integrated campaigns as well as jumping on reactive opportunities.
- You’ll have an eye for visual social content and will ideally know how to make your own GIFs, short videos and static assets.
- You’ll own the content calendar, and regularly update key internal stakeholders on upcoming content (PR, Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Customer Services).
- You’ll keep yourself up to date with the latest social and digital trends, and share regular updates with the wider team.
- You’ll ensure the company’s reputation is protected by sense-checking sensitive materials.
- Occasional out of hours work will be required, including being part of the on-call roster for the Press Desk, supporting the real time response team on social in occasional times of major disruption, and occasional ad-hoc campaigns.
- Develop and run smaller social media campaigns with the Head of Social Content.
- Manage social media at events and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Social and PR agencies.

Key skills & experience:

- Experience of business to consumer social media, either agency side or in-house, managing social media campaigns.
- Digital content-creation skills in one or more of the following essential: copywriting, photography or videography.
- Organised and able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- A thorough understanding of the Social Media landscape and trends.
- Able to work at internet-speed, you will have a track-record of delivery on major social campaigns and a high level of creativity.
- Ability to function within a complex environment such as the rail industry, and be able to assimilate information quickly and easily.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
