**Commercial Manager**

**Location: Basingstoke**

**Salary: £45,000 - £55,000**

Our client is a high-quality soft landscape company, offering both soft landscaping and grounds maintenance to property developers across the South of England. With more than 30 years of experience in delivering the best class of soft landscaping to thecountry's largest property developers. Due to recent expansion, and success, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager, with a passion and pride in horticulture.

As a Commercial Manager, you will ensure that all commercial aspects of the companies' contracts are managed correctly and controlled. This includes all installation and maintenance for the grounds and gardens, for both commercial and domestic clients.

**Duties**:

- Ensuring a commercial and business strategy is delivered and maintained, reviewing all commercial plans are delivered for maximum margin
- Management of the commercial team including estimators and administration, and providing support and guidance for all commercial concerns that will arise
- Grow and build a network of Quality Supervisors for business opportunities
- Provide input to Tendering processes, measuring tenders won and increase margins
- Identify improvements in commercial procedures and create an implementation to execute improvements
- Create monthly reviews and reports of contract results, performance, contractual disputes, mediation of contracts, final account & retention, subcontract process, profit & loss, and forecasting & work in progress
- Reviewing and managing on contractual prices to improve buying power, against gains / losses across all suppliers and sub-contractors
- Carry out contract audits

**Requirements**:

- Experience within Soft landscaping / Grounds maintenance / Construction
- Hard working, ability to complete tasks to a high standard & highly organised with an eye for detail
- Experience with management and development of teams including implementation of procedures
- Degree qualified, or equivalent
- Experience with building and winning tenders and contracts
- IT skills including excel
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
- UK Driving Licence
- Desirable: Member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
