Project: Here at Mace, we’re currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Engineer / Cost Manager leading on reviewing the cost plans of the project controls function on a Nuclear project in the Cumbria area. You’ll provide support and assistance in the maintenance of a comprehensive Cost Engineering framework and service for either a major project, multi-project portfolio or business area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support to the provision and management of the cost framework, systems and resources to deliver an effective cost control and reporting service to Project Managers and Sponsors.
- Support to the preparation, monitoring and forecasting of baselines during all project phases.
- Support to the preparation, monitoring and forecasting of expenditure profiles and provide accruals where needed.
- Support to the preparation of cost reports, including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas and trends and recommend recovery options.
- Maintain the cost control database and validate data across systems.
- Support the ensuring that all commitments are recorded and maintain forecasts within approved financial limits.
- Support the maintenance of an estimate of the outturn value of the project and support the preparation of the EAC for review and approval.
- Support the provision of the required information to support the risk process.
Support the provision of project outturns against baseline for LFE and Knowledge Management.

Accountabilities
- Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders.
The highlighting of any current and potential issues to the Senior Cost Engineer, PCM and Project Manager.
- Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures and Project Execution Plans.
- The active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of Project Controls.
- To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan.

About You
- You may have Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the Programme, Project or Commercial Management disciplines. You have the ability to understand and use cost management software. You have a good understanding of earned value analysis.
- You have experience in the use of project controls management software systems such as Primavera, Power BI, P6 etc. You can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have proven relevant experience in project management or project controls environment in a similar cost role in a construction or consultancy background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
