Hospitality Team Member Assessor

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:
**Delivery and Training**
- Help learners develop positive attitudes towards learning and studying.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to assigned tutees that is appropriate to their individual needs, so that they both achieve the qualification and enjoy the experience of learning.
- Provide evidence and documentation to the Internal Verifier and complete appropriate Awarding Body documentation.
- Produce evidence of the achievement of contracted outputs in accordance with the terms of contracts, such as maintaining a system of record-keeping that is consistent with awarding organisation requirements.
- Contribute to and in some instances lead in the creation of learning content, training sessions and supporting materials as part of our commitment to quality improvement across all our learning programmes.
**Quality Management**
- Participate in the planning and implementation of quality improvements to the service through a cycle of self-assessment and improvement planning.
- Participate in staff development activities; lesson observations and the origination of personal development plans.
**Personal Development**
- Maintain own Continuous Professional Log and update skills as appropriate
- Actively seek out development opportunities.
**Person specification**:
It is essential that the post holder demonstrates:
- A relevant qualification in Training
- Extensive experience in delivering training and assessing
- Achievement of the Assessors Award
- Extensive experience in learning assessment
- Experience in marking assessments according to set criteria and standards
- The ability to provide constructive feedback to learners
- Experienced in the use of visual aids
- Knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity issues
- An awareness of health and safety risk assessment
- The ability to build effective relationships
- The ability to engage and motivate others
- Good levels of IT literacy and ability to adapt to using bespoke systems and software
- Excellent communication skills, at all levels
- A commitment to quality in all aspects of assessing, to ensure the highest standards are achieved
**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
