Our client who is industry leading and independently owned is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to manage the maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of the Facility.

This is a hands on role and you will be responsible for the planned and reactive mechanical maintenance as well as produce daily, weekly and monthly reports relating to activities and works carried out within the Facility and document all works carried out in the maintenance log.

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with some occasional Saturday work depending on workload.

Salary - £40,000 doe

Key Responsibilities
- To carry out equipment breakdowns effectively and efficiently.
- To plan and carry out planned preventative Maintenance on all equipment aiming to achieve maximum availability, with zero unplanned down time.
- Supervise the daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance inspections.
- Conduct safety compliance inspections and maintain records.
- Ensure that programmed work is completed on time to the satisfaction of business requirement.
- Maintaining standard operating procedures as required.
- Use radio frequency equipment as required.
- Manage external buildings/service maintenance contracts (pat testing, fire alarms, compressor etc.)
- Develop/document training material to facilitate transfer of skills and knowledge.
- Experience of working with engineering drawings.
- Operate a variety of equipment including loaders, forklifts, high lifts, cranes, cherry pickers.

Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an engineer.
- Relevant qualifications & experience in welding, mechanical and or electrical engineering (18th Edition of the Electricity at Work Regulations)
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
- Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and legal compliance associated with the maintenance and repair of fixed installations.
- Exceptional Organizational and time management skills
- Good at information seeking and handling
- Problem solving and fault diagnosis
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.
- Excellent internal and external customer service and oral/written communication skills
- Experience of managing a small diverse team, working to strict deadlines and Key Performance Indicators.
- Experience managing and working with sub-contractors
- Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft products
- Full and current UK driving license
- Forklift license 3.5 ton counterbalance (desirable but not essential as full training will be given)
