Pastoral Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting in the implementation of pastoral care programs to enhance student welfare.
- Building strong relationships with students and parents/carers, to provide emotional support and guidance.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address the individual needs of students.
- Monitoring and promoting positive behaviour and resolving conflicts as needed.
- Organising and participating in extracurricular activities that contribute to the overall development of students.
- Attending and supporting with school events outside of normal hours as required. (Parents Evenings; Transition Evenings; Information Evenings etc.)
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a pastoral / support role within an educational setting is desirable. However, those with backgrounds in other relevant sectors (youth work, social work etc.) with transferrable skills are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and understanding of the diverse needs of students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
- A DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.

**Salary**: £22,736.00-£24,007.00 per year
